Workplace Injury Medical Technician

This specific post may include some travel to other local job sites, but will most often involve caring for workplace injuries at one consistent job site in San Rafael, CA.
As part of our team, you will:
- Answer and triage calls from our injury hotline
- Triage and provide advice to injured workers through telemedicine consultations
- Travel to the job site of injured workers to provide treatment, adhering to OSHA's First Aid Guidelines as needed
- We aim to provide excellent injury care by treating as many injuries on-site as possible

Responsibilities
We’re seeking EMTs, CNAs, LVNs, or individuals with strong medical experience who are confident in delivering independent, professional first aid care. All new team members will complete a comprehensive training module to ensure a clear understanding of OSHA-compliant workplace injury treatment protocols.
Job Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:
- Cleaning minor cuts, scrapes, or scratches
- Treating minor burns
- Applying compressive bandages and dressings
- Recommending the use of non-prescription medicine
- Draining blisters
- Removing debris from the eyes
- Massaging muscle strains
- Applying the concept of R.I.C.E. to muscle injuries
- Attending monthly tailgate safety meetings
- Work hand in hand with the HR personnel to address injuries
- Assist with clinic referrals when elevated care is needed beyond first aid
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Preferred - Bilingual (Spanish)
- Have valid licensure for the position for which you are applying
- Possesses excellent verbal / written communication skills
- Be passionate about people and giving them the best care humanly possible
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Have a positive and outgoing personality
- Great time management
- Possesses a valid Driver's License and is able to drive upwards of 2 hours
- Have strong computer and other technology skills (navigating cell phones, texting, fax machines, etc), as well as familiarity with EMR software
- A reliable vehicle
- Be strong enough to lift a 50lb emergency response bag
- Be willing to go above and beyond just because that’s who you are
- Document findings and treatments accurately and succinctly

- You are comfortable working in different environments
- You have relevant occupational health experience
Compensation
$50,000 - $60,000 yearly
